Meet Stive Creator- Digital Illustrator - @sminandpaper!

Shi Min is a STIVE creator, full-time designer, and part-time illustrator. She has over 5000 followers  on Instagram, successfully accumulating them with her unforgettable warm style. Let’s start the interview.

When did you start getting into art and why?  

Since young and started digital drawing when Uni time, then only share to Instagram. It is really satisfying to illustrate the visual in mind and bring them to life.

Your art focuses a lot on the character. Could you share with us the idea behind it?

I love to sketch a character's facial expression. I also like to draw people in certain scenes, which can make people feel that he/she is the main character in this artwork. At the same time, I also hope to heal peoples heart and mind with my drawing.

Is there a moment you wanted to quit, or have you faced a very challenging time in art?

I do accept some commission works and collaborated with some stationary shop or childhood fairy books during the early time. However, I spend more and more time at work now. Most of the times I don’t feel like paint for the sake of painting, then it causes my update lesser than usual. However I still constantly workout a small charity project every year and donated 100% of profits to help children in need. Therefore I did this by selling my artworks with STIVE ASIA last year.
